Still here?
Yep... just been absent for a while... ok, maybe a loooong while. After my recent trip to Austin, TX for Quiltcon 2013, I feel a little rejuvinated, and definitely inspired. With that said, my goal is to do at least ONE blog post a week. Help me be accountable! I will do a larger post on Quiltcon once I get all my pictures in one place. But what a week/end! Met some incredible people, it was an amazing experience. Can't wait for 2015!

LIBERTY!
So I think my neighbors think I'm a nut. I jumped for joy when I opened the mailbox and found this little brown parcel... with LIBERTY inside! I almost forgot that I ordered it, but oh so happy that it is here!
Oh, and we've been gone a lot lately enjoying summer festivities! I hope to get some more sewing done with some upcoming and MUCH needed time-off! Some finishes coming soon...

Challenge accepted...
I think I am one of those quilters who can work on five projects at once. Sew a little, put it away, start something else, go back to the first... I don't think that it's I get bored with one project or another, I get inspired by different blogs, flickr groups, most anything on the interwebs, and want to start something new before I forget what inspired me in the first place!
Like tonight for example... Quiltcon. I've seen their fabric bundles here, here and here, but never really caught my attention. Until today. So new project? You bet. Quiltcon Block Challenge. Eeeek! Bring it.

feelin' crabby...
I got a little inspiration after our weekend trip to the Gulf Coast... (too bad we didn't win)
Which has me cutting in to my Going Coastal stash by Emily Herrick for Michael Miller. I love this fabric - the colors are so bold and fun. The little crabs are fantastic!
I purchased the fabric from here. One of my favorite etsy shops! The collection is hard to find, but FMF finally had the right mix of color I was looking for! Have a great day!

A little late...
I was working on this quilt for my mom for mother's day and it took a little longer than I would have liked. But it is DONE and it feels great!! Lots of needles and frustration went in to this (like having to drive to Mobile, AL to find a JoAnn's) But I won't bore you with the details... because all you probably want is pictures :) I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend, remember why we celebrate this holiday - THANKS to all the service members and their families - you sacrifice everything for us :)
